International Politics Degree: Career Prospects

Like other social science disciplines, international politics teaches methods of analysis that are useful in personal and professional life.

We’ll provide you with the kinds of intellectual skills that are attractive to many employers as you will gain a deep knowledge and understanding of the principles involved in ethical and responsible decision making in politics and foreign affairs.

International politics makes students good candidates for a job in almost any area, and its graduates are to be found in banking (often in emerging markets or risk analysis), as well as the foreign service, non-governmental and non-profit organisations, media and journalism, diplomacy, law-related professions, consulting, research and policy think tanks, and academia.
