Pre-University Course for Business School Students

Have you been offered a place at a UK Business School and now you are worried you are not prepared enough?

Our Pre-University course is perfect for you. The Faculty of Business and Management has designed an intensive two-weeks programme that will equip you with all the knowledge and tools to kick off your university life.

Entry Requirements

To apply for our Pre-University Course, there are no specific entry requirements.

Teaching and Learning

You will be required to attend to lectures in the mornings and participate to student led classes in the afternoon, where you can work on assignments with your peers.

Usually, you will be required to attend to:

  • Lectures: 40 hours (9am-1pm Monday to Friday)
  • Class hours: 20 hours (1 to 2 hours in the afternoon, 2-4pm, Monday to Friday)

Depending on your course choice, assessment could be coursework, group presentations or a combination of these.
However, if you are not interested in being assessed, you may be issued an Attendance of Certificate, if you participate to at least 75% of classes.

Academic Credits

This programme is non-credit bearing.

SUMSC-108 Principles of Management
SUMSC-109 Introduction to Economics
SUMSC-104 Presentation skills in HE
SUMSC-110 Business Research Methods
