
a) Credit Transfer
Credit Transfer happens when you request to have your previous studies recognised towards an NCIUL certification.
If you believe you can apply for credit transfer and you would like more information, or you are ensure about your eligibility, contact us (admissions@nciul.ac.uk ) and we will guide you through the process.
Please remember that you must apply for Credit Transfer before registering for a NCIUL qualification. In order to apply, you must submit a credit transfer form.
This submission is completely free, but it may require some time. Usually, this process may take up to 6 weeks, so allow plenty of time in advance if you want to be sure to be able to meet the application deadline for your chosen study. Previous studies from any time may be used for credit transfer.
b) Recognition of Prior Learning
NCIUL promotes Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL) as a means of converting prior learning towards credits for taught programmes, whenever possible, according to student’s individual situation, currency and general comparability of prior learning, as well as correspondence of learning outcomes involved.
Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL) may concern certified, experiential or uncertified learning.
Certified prior learning can be defined as prior knowledge at a higher education level that however has not led to the award of credits or qualifications positioned on the UK higher education qualifications framework.
Experiential prior learning is where the student has already achieved some of the learning outcomes through work experience.
